Taking part
If you put your name in the bucket
What we collect. Your slip asks for your full name, who you’d like to date and your age bracket. The slip you choose (male, female or non-binary) tells us which group to draw you from. If you’d like a tag, it also asks for your Instagram handle.
How we use it
We use your slip to run the draw on the night. Who you’d like to date can reveal your sexual orientation, so we only use these details with your explicit consent, which you give by filling in the slip and putting it in the box.
Filming and posting
If you’re picked, your date and interview are filmed. Your slip asks “Can we post your date?”
If you say yes: we may post clips of your date and interview on our YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, and in our podcast. Clips can include what you say on stage about dating, relationships and your love life. If you add your Instagram, we’ll tag you.
If you say no or leave it blank: you’re cut from everything we post, including the full show on YouTube. We don’t blur you and post anyway. Your segment is deleted from our footage once the show is edited.
Saying no never affects your chances of being picked.
Audience
If you’re in the audience
Our camera sits at the back of the room, facing the stage. You may appear in the background, from behind or as part of the crowd. We do this in our legitimate interest in sharing and promoting the show. If you’d rather not appear at all, ask us for a seat out of shot. If you become the focus of a moment, for example by heckling, we’ll only post it with your OK. Otherwise we’ll cut or blur you.

If you sign up on our website, we use your name and email to tell you about upcoming shows. We only email you because you asked us to, and you can unsubscribe any time using the link in every email.
Who sees your data

The public. Once a clip is posted, anyone online can see it.

Our team. The small team who help us edit and post only use footage for LOLyamorous.

The services we use. These include Wix for our website, WeTransfer to move footage, and the social and podcast platforms we post to. Some of these companies are based outside the EU and UK, and each has its own privacy policy.

Venues and ticket sites. They handle your booking under their own privacy policies.
When you ask, we’ll remove our posts everywhere, but we can’t control copies other people have already saved or shared.
How long we keep things

Paper slips: binned after the show, once we’ve photographed them.

Photos of slips: if you said yes, we keep them for as long as any clip of you is online and for 12 months after it comes down, so we can show what you agreed to. If you said no, we delete them once the show is edited.

Raw footage: kept for up to 12 months while we make clips, then deleted.

Posted clips: online until you ask us to remove them or we take them down.

Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights

You can ask us to:

take down any clip of you, free and with no reason needed. We’ll remove it from all our channels within 7 days.

send you a copy in a format you can take elsewhere
You can withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) at aepd.es. For UK shows, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
