When you arrive, you’ll have the option to put your name into one of our infamous buckets.
You'll specify:
-
Your gender identity
-
Who you’d like to date (man, woman, or open to anyone)
-
Whether you’re over or under 25
Not ready to step on stage? No problem—you can just sit back and enjoy the show.
💞 The date
Our hosts randomly select two names, with the same dating preference. You’ll have two minutes to get to know each other, live on stage—chat, flirt, ask deep questions, or pick a fun prompt from our Deep and Spicy boxes.
🙊 The interview
Once your date ends, the real fun begins. Our comedians and expert dig into your love life, past experiences, and first impressions—offering insight, funny commentary, and maybe even a little matchmaking magic.
Will we ask if you fancy each other? Only if it’s obvious. Either way, you’ll leave the stage with a great story and maybe even a new romance (or at least a new friend).
Meet the panel
Each show features an expert panel ready to guide, tease, and entertain.
Our story
After a painful break-up from a 6 year relationship right after the pandemic, I was thrust back into the world of dating, except this time I was a stand-up comedian in my 30s. Like many of us, I struggled to make meaningful connections on the apps and I wasn’t much better at approaching strangers in bars either. Traditional speed-dating events felt mechanical and awkward. So one summer’s day in 2022, I convinced a comedy club in my home city of Barcelona to try a brand new show where we would invite audience members to date each other on stage and then share their own war stories of single life. The result was like nothing I’d ever experienced at any singles night. Aside from the dates themselves, people were hooked on hearing each other’s experiences about bad dates, sexual mishaps, toxic behaviours and the rest. We had laughter, we had tears and once the show ended, the conversations carried on in the bar well into the night. A few weeks later, I made friends with an amazing psychologist and therapist called Willow Star and instantly knew that we needed someone with her knowledge and skills to be part of the show. That’s the beauty of LOLyamorous. On the face of it, it’s a comedy show and a dating event. But everyone leaves feeling uplifted and a bit more hopeful about their romantic prospects. Originally established in June 2022 in Barcelona, where it is still a regular fixture twice a month, LOLyamorous has entertained sold out crowds around the world including London, Edinburgh, Madrid, Berlin, Prague and even Tokyo. – James Regal, Host of Lolyamorous

Will the comedians be mean to me?No! The humor is playful, lighthearted, and supportive.
-
Has anyone actually started a relationship from the show?Yes! We’ve had everything from short flings to real relationships. But also remember that even if you don’t have a spark on your date, there’s plenty of other single people in the audience watching you up there!
